Considered one of the founders of the D-beat subgenre - and an influence on thrash metal, black metal and crust punk - Discharge's metallurgic punk style is best exemplified by their guttural, demonic vocals, performed by frontman/legend Jeff "JJ" Janiak. The comp contains entirely raw and uncut tracks recorded 1977 and 1981, with their unpolished quality lending them an extra hellish bent.
