Going back to the roots of jazz, the saxophonist has a party with swing, rhythm and blues, soul and funk - a party sometimes gate-crashed by Kessler's intrepid chords - but which all celebrate one and the same thing: the saxophonist's unconditional 'joie de vivre'.
