Como productor, arreglista, ingeniero de grabación y mezcla, y teclista, su creatividad se ha extendido a lo largo de más de dos décadas de lanzamientos del sello, incluso remontándose a su prehistoria con Desco Records. If You Ask Me To..., el primer LP bajo su nombre para el sello, es una colección de sencillos lanzados entre 2007-2023, así como temas inéditos de Sugar Minott y Binky Griptite.
Mientras que proyectos anteriores como Ticklah Vs Axelrod y Roots Combined (producida bajo el alias Ticklah) se inspiraron en la Jamaica de los años 1970 y 1980; este conjunto canaliza específicamente un período anterior en la década de 1960, cuando Jamaica era sorprendentemente original en su continuidad de géneros pero también estaba estrecha y empáticamente en sintonía con Música negra americana. A través del gusto excepcional de Axelrod y las notables contribuciones del guitarrista Tom Brenneck, cintas originales de la discografía MoDo de Bob & Gene, miembros de The Frightnrs y otros de la comunidad reggae de Nueva York, el legado de artistas jamaiquinos pioneros como Alton Ellis, Tony Gregory y Ken Parker continúa resonando e inspirando a toda una nueva generación de fanáticos del reggae y soul.
