Zenit es un conjunto de jazz de Krems, en la Baja Austria, fundado en 1976 por Hannes Treiber y Willi Langer. Su m\u00fasica fue celebrada localmente, pero reducirlos a su fama local ser\u00eda enga\u00f1oso.
Despu\u00e9s de todo, sus dos primeros LP, Stimmungswechsel (Cambio de humor) y Fr\u00fcchte (Frutas), r\u00e1pidamente les granjearon una audiencia mucho m\u00e1s amplia de exigentes oyentes. Sin embargo, podr\u00eda decirse que el tercer y \u00faltimo LP de Zenit, Straight Ahead, es el m\u00e1s especial de sus discos.
