El \u00e1lbum debut de Chicha Libre, Sonido Amaz\u00f3nico, finalmente est\u00e1 disponible en vinilo en Europa. El \u00e1lbum doble contiene todas las canciones originales publicadas por primera vez como CD en 2008. La edici\u00f3n en vinilo se compone de 3 caras con la m\u00fasica y una cuarta cara con un grabado del ic\u00f3nico santo venezolano Jos\u00e9 Gregorio.
La banda de Brooklyn Chicha Libre comenz\u00f3 como un tributo a los pioneros peruanos, pero r\u00e1pidamente evolucion\u00f3 hasta convertirse en un proyecto original que MTV la ha calificado como \u00abuna de las bandas psicod\u00e9licas tropicales m\u00e1s importantes del mundo\u00bb. De hecho, si bien se mantienen fieles a sus ra\u00edces chicha, Chicha Libre r\u00e1pidamente tom\u00f3 un giro m\u00e1s psicod\u00e9lico bas\u00e1ndose en los antecedentes alternativos de sus miembros.
Compuesta por mexicanos, venezolanos, franceses y estadounidenses, la banda usaba guitarras surf, sonidos de \u00f3rgano y m\u00fasica latina y percusi\u00f3n para tocar una mezcla de sonidos prestados y de cosecha propia, pero su m\u00fasica sigue siendo una reinvenci\u00f3n de forma libre, no un ejercicio de duplicaci\u00f3n nost\u00e1lgica.
