Varios temas incidieron las radios y entre ellos estaba el tema \u00abVen cerca\u00bb interpretada por Los Spitfires y su cantante Julissa.<br \/>Julissa entr\u00f3 al medio art\u00edstico a muy corta edad, pues ten\u00eda 13 a\u00f1os cuando empez\u00f3 a cantar con &#8216;The Spitfires&#8217;, un grupo de rock and roll formado por su hermano Luis en el bajo, Juan Ram\u00f3n Sordo en la bater\u00eda, Jos\u00e9 Luis de la Huerta y Manuel Gonz\u00e1lez Galindo, mejor conocido como Johnny Dynamo, en las guitarras.<br \/>Los Spitfires, grupo originario de la Ciudad de M\u00e9xico y formado en 1960, fueron uno de los cinco grupos ganadores de un concurso que realizo la compa\u00f1\u00eda discogr\u00e1fica CBS Columbia y la emisora Radio \u00c9xitos, llevado a cabo en noviembre de ese mismo a\u00f1o. Los Escupefuego fueron los segundos finalistas ya que el primer puesto se lo llevaron Los Hoolingans, quienes adem\u00e1s de grabar un disco participar\u00edan en una pel\u00edcula. Los otros grupos que ganaron la oportunidad de grabar un disco con CBS fueron: Los Loud Jets, Los Blue Caps y Los Sparks.<br \/>Los Spitfires solo grabaron dos temas: \u00abLoco Amor\u00bb y \u00abVen cerca\u00bb, versiones al espa\u00f1ol de \u00abCrazy love\u00bb de Paul Anka y de \u00abCome Closer\u00bb de Johnny Restivo, temas que, si bien no son muy conocidos m\u00e1s que que por los verdaderos seguidores, son un referente del rock primigenio que se hac\u00eda en esos a\u00f1os en M\u00e9xico.<br \/>Todos los rockeros de entonces copiaban los \u00e9xitos extranjeros hasta en los arreglos musicales y solamente traduc\u00edan la letra de las canciones al espa\u00f1ol. A Julissa no se le dificultaba la tarea, pues dominaba el idioma ingl\u00e9s. \u00abVen cerca\u00bb (\u00abCome closer\u00bb) de alto contenido er\u00f3tico, fue la primera canci\u00f3n que ella grab\u00f3 con su grupo y tradujo la letra tal y como Johnny Restivo la cantaba en ingl\u00e9s. Comenzaba as\u00ed: \u00abVeeen cerca, un poquitito m\u00e1s cerca, que te quiero abrazar y besar, veeen cerca\u00bb. Julissa la cantaba con cuchicheos y suspiros, que al abrirle tanto el micr\u00f3fono, todas sus respiraciones y jadeos parec\u00edan verdaderos bufidos. Muy pronto tal disco fue retirado del mercado.
