Originally part of a multimedia concert, a show involving actors, video, and scenography called "Móviles". The record is a complex world of sounds blending rhythmic experimental electronics, industrial sounds, samplers, ambient-downtempo passages, loops, musique concrete... and everything from a punk-fluxus-existentialist approach. In the vein of other Spanish bands of the era like Randomize, Mecánica Popular or international artists such as Cabaret Voltaire, Chris & Cosey, Thomas Leer, NWW...
The record was produced by the Spanish composer Luis Carlos Esteban at his studio, with one of the largest Synth collections in Europe. Belda squeezed precious synths such as Yamaha cs80, Emulator 2, Linn 9000,Mini moog, DX7, PPG Wave, VCS 3, etc. with the help of Esteban to round his compositions. The result is a very personal and unique record.
Belda is an eclectic composer, arranger and multi-instrumentalist from Canary Islands, Spain. He studied structural composition with Zaj founder Juan Hidalgo and jazz with Luis Vecchio. Since the beginning of the 80's, his music has always been one step ahead in the Spanish scene at the time. Both with his new wave projects Arte Moderno (with Javier Segura), África Gráfica or with this debut album. Multidisciplinary artist, he has also been responsible for installations in art galleries and has composed music for ballet, theater, television and cinema.
Includes insert with an extensive interview with the artist. Remastered by Damián Schwartz at Lyrebird.

The Encyclopedia Of Civilizations Vol 5: Babylon https://wpguerssen-test.odoo.rgbconsulting.com/product/the-encyclopedia-of-civilizations-vol-5-babylon/ Mon, 23 Aug 2021 22:00:00 +0000 https://wpguerssen-test.odoo.rgbconsulting.com/product/the-encyclopedia-of-civilizations-vol-5-babylon/ Fifth volume of "The Encyclopedia of Civilizations", Abstrakce's collection of split LPs where selected artists offer their own insight into fascinating ancient cultures. This time the focus is on the enigmatic Babylon, visited by two of the label's favourite electronic bands currently active.
Berlin-based duo Driftmachine take us on a journey between the ancient cities of Akkad, Uruk and Ashur. Astonishing electronics with a superb and precise sound, floating somewhere between modular ambient, leftfield, abstract dub... Every detail has been carefully crafted in this complex architecture. Unconventional tribal rhythms recall obscure rituals, meanwhile warm, dynamic pulses contract and expand, interacting on their journey along the sandy roads of the Mesopotamian basin and leading you into a deep trance.
Glasgow-based project Komodo Kolektif delves into the Babylonian vision of magic through the figures of the Kassaptu (witches and wizards) and the use of Mandragora. A blend of both tribal primitivism and a futuristic vision is provided by their vast arsenal of vintage synths and effects units, eastern metallophones and traditional hand percussion. Deep, psychedelic electronics that capture the spirit of ancient Babylonian sacred ceremonies and their vision of the cosmos. This deluxe edition includes an extensive booklet with notes and images about Babylon, to help you to immerse yourself in this fascinating civilization while you listen to the music. The sleeve is printed in the old way: letterpressed with metal movable type, as Gutenberg used to do it, on high-quality recycled papers. Mastered by Colin Potter. 500 copies limited edition, no repress.

Middle Of Nowhere https://wpguerssen-test.odoo.rgbconsulting.com/product/middle-of-nowhere/ Thu, 06 Mar 2025 23:00:00 +0000 https://wpguerssen-test.odoo.rgbconsulting.com/product/middle-of-nowhere/ Limited edition of 250 copies.
Peaceful electronic ambient and tribal echo environments. Music that explores feelings of calm, spirituality, and ceremony. Long-form voyages to temple meditations, "trips in search of something," looking in as looking out.
The artist himself says: "This is an attempt to look into the heads and souls of "unnecessary" people, inconspicuous people, but striving to make the world a better place. People who have lost the horizon and the outlines of reality are desperate and stuck in the middle of nothing... people who cannot accept the rules of this world and unpleasant aspects of daily life, boring and unfair into unreality, other existence... it's all about escapism, rethinking their inner world, and discovering new facets of the soul."
RIYL: Jon Hassell, O Yuki Conjugate, Bitchin Bajas, Laraaji, The Chi Factory...
