Starting as a 5 man band most of the material was recorded by the 3 main members: Lonnie Knight, Denny Johnson and Pete Huber. Later Lonnie Knight became guitarist of "The Litter" for a while but he returned to "Jokers Wild". What a powerful band this is. Huge amp stacks guaranteed a "wall of sound" on stage.

 

Double bass drum, cool outfits, they must have been been great on stage. Damin Eih, A.L.K. and Brother Clark wrote: "In '67 I saw two local bands that again amped up the juice, The Litter and Jokers Wild. Both bands played original music and had excellent psychedelic-raved guitar players, Zippy Caplan (Litter) and Lonnie Knight (Jokers Wild). That brought everything to a new level" Heavy underground rock with great composed songs, fuzz guitars, speedy drums and tight bass lines.

We could release this album in cooperation with King George Clemens and we are proud to have this treasure released on vinyl and later onto CD. It's just great! One of the most important release this year for sure!

They played typical experimental rock common in the 70s, but they added their own touch of creativity in the music and while the majority of the lyrics were in Finnish, it stands out compared to most progressive rock bands. Their most active time period was between 1972 - 1974 when they released two 7" singles and one album, which are rare and highly sought after collector items. Recorded also for EMI as "Elonkorjuu", but Session is rarer and as good or even better. When "Charlies" is the Finnish equivalent of the "Cream", "Session" might work in the same musical style as bands such as "IF" and other prog bands on the Vertigo label. A strong progressive rock album with loud guitar solos, organ, electric piano, horns and most significant, a fiercely driving bass. Insert, poster.

We have never seen or heard an album like this before. The music is stunning, the original package was outstanding, the whole presentation just beautiful. I am sure this album TRISTAN was not produced to sell. It came in a hand-laminated 10 inch tapes box, a booklet with all lyrics and two 10 inch hand-cut acetates. The concept of the rock opera Tristan reminds me a lot of the two 12 inch acetates of "Shuttah - the image maker part 1+2". I am sure both album where produced in a excellent studio, with pro-musicians to inquire a deal for a release on a big label.
So some promo guys out there should have some original copies. The music is electric folk with a progressive touch, much better than most albums we have heard Britain, male and female vocals, wide range of instruments, great percussion and first class guitar & organ parts. Some songs more acoustic, some electric. A well balanced mixture of an underground concept album which beats most other UK albums of the same kind. This album is a pure surprise. We just love it. VERY LIGHT CORNER DAMAGE, REDUCED PRICE.

Again, this is a musical masterpiece, well-composed, well-crafted, touchy and twisted songs with a big influence from the British Underground. On some tracks the vocals sound like Robert Wyatt in the early 70's.
If you like the Canterbury sound, art-rock with Underground roots, you will love this one.
The album has 16 tracks, 45 minutes of music.

But we must say, if bands from South Africa where not banned in Europe and USA at the time the albums by THE THIRD EYE came out, they would have become as popular and even more as the mentioned bands from USA and UK.
All 3 albums are killer albums and we would not want to miss one of them. 500 numbered / glossy heavy sleeve / 180 gram pressing / insert
