Legendary emo indie outfit The Cure have played all over the world in their decorated careers but back in 1996 when they headed to Brazil, it was the first time they had been to the country since 1988. They were there for the 1996 edition of the Hollywood Rock Festival which they headlined in superb fashion and wowed their Latin American fans. Live Lullabies & Other Bedtime Stories is a special recording of that night that comes on nice yellow vinyl and features the likes of signature anthems like ‘Boys Don’t Cry,’ ‘Friday I’m In Love,’ ‘Just Like Heaven’ and many more.

Genesis in it’s newest incarnation for the first time on home turf, live in London. When lead singer Peter Gabriel left the group to start his solo career, the other members feared they couldn’t move forward, but they found their new front-man in drummer Phil Collins. This show from “The Trick Of A Tail” tour is their first live recording together, which proved to be a winning combo for the British band. Collins didn’t fully trade in his drumsticks for the microphone, he continued to drum during instrumental sections. This is a solid set from a group fresh into a whole different chapter of their careers; the new Genesis.

Iron Maiden hit the Palladium in New York City for a stop on their “Beast On The Road” tour. Bruce Dickinson had to ask the crowd to calm down or they wouldn’t play, seeing as the place was overpacked with fans pouring in through the fire exits. Iron Maiden is one of the most iconic and influential heavy metal bands of all time. As pioneers of the new wave of British heavy metal, they became hugely successful in the early 80’s. Despite a lack of mainstream radio airplay Iron Maiden have remained consistently popular, selling out stadiums to this day.
