Long Hair is proudly to present for the first time as official reissues the legendary album “All Bumm” by German supergroup 18 Karat Gold. Studio musician Keith Forsey on drums (Hallelujah/Amon Düül II), Bass genius Lothar Meid (Amon Düül II), Jörg Evers (guitar) from Embryo and American – German guitar talent Klaus Ebert on lead guitar born out of the prolific Munich music scene. Famous German music magazine Sounds praised the album as a landmark, a pioneering feat, and came to the euphoric conclusion that German popmusic has only just begun! The idea behind 18 Karat Gold seems to have been to present a Krautrock influenced musical direction of english icons like David Bowie as Ziggy Stardust, Roxy Music and perhaps T. Rex and Slade, who partly played a very mainstream, but at the same time sophisticated pop sound, also surnamed Glam – Rock. Listen to it and you will know that it sounds great! Affinity

Fully licensed, limited to 500 copies, gatefold vinyl. The sole album by cultish british prog-blues combo. Originally released in 1970 on influential label Vertigo, their self-titled album is still one of the most original effort of the England jazz-rock scene. Fronted by Linda Hoyle, a powerful vocalist who sounds like a cross between Carol King and Julie Driscoll, the line up was completed by Mo Foster (bass), Mike Jupp (electric and 12-string guitars), Lynton Naiff (keyboards) and Grant Serpell (drums and percussion). Their eclectic mixture was truly compelling moving over a certain psychedelic feel, thanks also to the ubiquitous Hammond organ. A singular effort that made definitely history.

1971-1972

For the very first time on vinyl a mandatory compilation with both rarities and unreleased tracks, showcasing their second line up ! At the end of January 1971 lead vocalist Linda Hoyle and organist Lynton Naiff left Affinity, instead of going separate ways, the other three members recruited vocalist Vivienne McAuliffe (Principal Edwards Magic Theatre) and ex-Tornados keyboardist Dave Watts. Reminiscent at times of Sandy Denny, Vivienne voice was a natural addiction to the new incarnation of the band, focusing on a more folksy direction.

Pinturas y Expresiones

Agnus formed in 1973 in Santa Fe, Argentina, but it wasn’t until 1980 that they managed to release their sole magnus opus Pinturas Y Expresiones, the most expensive (3k) prog album that was ever released in Argentina. This is a unique blend of symphonic prog with 2 faces, equally split between the 2 sides, one with a folky edge, punctuated by aethereal pastoral vocals in an intimate dialogue with flute and violin, and another packed with wandering psychedelic guitars and side-effects. Picture Rennaissance in an interminable jam with MIA and Catharsis with Bacamarte and you might start to get a feel for this one-of-a-kind artefact. This is the first, long-awaited official reissue in a limited edition of 300 copies (2 pressings of 150 numbered copies each, in black and marble vinyl), featuring the original booklet + bespoke biography straight from the band.

Tappeto Volante (Yellow)

An exclusive LP-reissue of ‘Tappeto Volante’, the third and final release from Aktuala, the ‘open musical collective’ from Milan with a steady nucleus and contributions from many guest musicians. As the Third Ear Band have always been inserted in the international prog panorama, the same happened with Aktuala, who were real music pioneers able to blend world, ethnic, jazz and avantgarde music. ‘Tappeto Volante’ was originally released in 1976 on the Bla Bla record label. This reissue comes with a booklet with rare and unreleased images, plus the bonustrack ‘Il Sussurro dell’Anima’, taken from the solo works of Walter Maioli, the true spiritual guide of Aktuala.

Garden Of Eden

Albatros from Hagen played sophisticated art rock with long tracks, similar to Grobschnitt, who came from the same town. ‘Garden Of Eden’ was their only LP pressed in an edition of 500 copies at the time. After its foundation in early 1974, the group had quickly won several prizes at competitions in Sauerland and the surrounding area and had become a known quantity there. Until now, there has been only a re-edition on CD, and now comes on vinyl, and contains a 20-page booklet. Limited to 1000 hand-numbered copies.

Scolopendra (Transparent)

A trio from Turin, formed in 1970 by keyboard player Alluminio (hence the name of the band) and drummer Ostorero with various guitarists, they only lasted for a couple of years and their only album, Scolopendra, was issued when they had already split.
The album is very well made, mainly based on Hammond organ and other keyboards, with good instrumental parts with an outstanding second part. A must-have for lovers of Italian prog!
Finally in gatefold sleeve faithful to the original version.
180gr. clear transparent vinyl edition.
