A collection of rare recordings starting from the unreleased live 1st days band incarnation “John Evan Band” which almost exclusively played covers of R&B standards, and great examples are represented here with classics as “Hold On I’m Comin'”, “Respect” and more, all featuring Ian Anderson on lead vocals. The tapes survived and featured here in their best-possible quality. While we have other sought-after tracks on this LP B Side, from a stunning rare MGM Promo version “Sunshine Day” which is the debut single from Jethro Tull.in 1968. On the single label, the band is credited as Jethro Toe. The B side “Aeroplane”, is the first released attempt of edging into Prog territory. Later, with exclusive 7″ vinyl-originated mono mixes, the follow up singles of the now established band on Chrysalis label complete this LP collection.
